You can just smell the corruption in the air. Only kidding! The nation’s capitol is quite beautiful as the shots below show. Like most American cities there are major areas of poverty but the political and tourist centre is immaculately presented.
Washington D.C. is a museum lovers dream with free museums lining ether side of National Mall which runs from the Washington Monument to Capitol Hill.
While in Washington i stayed at the Tabard Inn which is a delightful (and reasonably priced) hotel with Victorian style rooms located just five blocks from the White House. I strongly recommend it if you ever visit the Capitol.
