Way back in 2008 i started a project to build a MAME arcade cabinet from scratch. I was documenting the whole process on a web forum which subsequently died. I continued to provide updates for friends via social media but such a medium is not ideal for a project log and prevented other people from discovering and following the project. I have consequently decided to resurrect the project log by documenting my experiences on this website.

In order to ensure continuity with my earlier forum posts, i have gone through those posts and re-posted them to this site. Entries in this blog prior to the post you are currently reading are essentially re-posts from my original forum log. There have been some minor edits in order to accommodate the new format, fix errors and clean up language etc.
